Privacy Policy — MLFOR Bookkeeping Import Tool
Last updated: 2026-07-02
MLFOR Accounting Inc (“MLFOR”, “we”, “us”) operates an internal bookkeeping-import tool (“the Tool”) that connects to QuickBooks Online (QBO) via Intuit’s API to import categorized bookkeeping transactions on behalf of our accounting clients.
Who this applies to
The Tool is used solely by MLFOR staff to service MLFOR’s own bookkeeping clients. It is not a public application and is not offered to third parties.
What data we access
Through the authorized QBO connection, the Tool may read and write:
- Chart of accounts, vendors/customers, and tax codes (read, to validate imports)
- Transactions (purchases, deposits, transfers) that we create on your behalf
We access only the data necessary to import reviewed bookkeeping transactions.
How we use it
- To validate and import bookkeeping transactions you have engaged us to prepare.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
- We do not use your financial data to train machine-learning models without your explicit consent.
Where data lives / security
- OAuth tokens are stored securely and are not committed to source control.
- Access is restricted to authorized MLFOR personnel.
- Data in transit uses TLS via Intuit’s API.
- We retain access only for the duration of the engagement; you may revoke the connection at any time from your QBO account (Apps → Manage).
Data retention & deletion
Bookkeeping working files are retained per MLFOR’s engagement and professional record-keeping obligations. On request, or on termination of the engagement, we disconnect the QBO authorization and delete stored tokens.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and may revoke our QBO access at any time.
